
Organic Certification of Trading Operation
The general instructions for inspection remains same, focusing on specific aspects of trading organizations dedicated to trade and export of organic products. The inspector has to bear in mind the general instructions and he/she has to decide and adopt the most appropriate procedure for each particular unit based on the volume, frequency and product range in the unit.
Inspection
- A physical inspection needs to take place in case that the trader do some kind of labeling,
- From time to time, it is a good idea to visit the place(s) where the organic products are laded for shipment: ports, airports, lorry lading stations. These visits should take place, while lading goes on. The following aspects should be considered.
- Is an adequate separation between organic and conventional products assured?
- Are organic products adequately labeled ?
- Transport papers (bill of lading or CMR) and invoices included the necessary identification of organic products ?
- Take note the quantity trading and double check with figures registered in office
- Check the trading site, storage unit, transportation, source of material etc.
- Check the Stock by comparing transaction certificates.

- Transaction certificates of sourced material
- Special emphasis should be put on product flow evaluation: is the quantity of purchased products consistent with the quantity of soled product?
